 A Local to Global Approach

We have seen the alarming headlines and wondered - what can be done to stem or reverse the tide of chronic diseases that have already placed an enormous burden on families, communities, and governments? Furthermore, we recognize the roadblocks in creating new, sorely-needed diagnostic tools and treatments.

In response, the Healthcare Impact Foundation is leading a multi-pronged approach to prevention and support for innovation; inspired by the growing evidence-based research that confirms up to one-half of all Alzheimer’s Disease cases and other chronic diseases could be prevented or postponed. This effort is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals – most importantly, SDG#3 in support of Health and Well Being.

“Chronic diseases account for the vast majority of health spending. By 2025, chronic diseases will affect an estimated 164 million Americans, nearly half of the population. Many chronic diseases could be prevented, delayed, or alleviated, through simple lifestyle changes.” Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease
